Kota Kinabalu: Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (StarSabah) said the recent royal message issued by the Malaysia Agreement 1963 as a critical foundation for Sabah and Sarawak’s economic advancement and the foundation’s long-term political resilience is indisputable.

Its party Information Chief Anuar Ghani Gilong said the Agong’s address at the 63rd Parliament sitting recognises Sabah and Sarawak as equal founding partners.

Anuar described it as a “clear and timely roadmap for balancing federal unity with state prosperity.

“The royal message underscores that upholding MA63 is not just about defending historical entitlements – it is essential for fostering national harmony, ensuring regional justice and creating a stable political environment that attracts investment and drives sustainable growth across Sabah, Sarawak and the rest of Malaysia,” Anuar said in a statement.

The Agong had stressed that the MA63 spirit must be preserved as a fundamental pillar of unity and fairness, calling on elected representatives from both East Malaysian states to advocate for their rights through constitutional channels and consensus-building.
