KOTA KINABALU: The State Government has approved an allocation of RM5 million for this year’s Kaamatan Festival.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan, who is also State-level Kaamatan Main Committee chairman, announced this during a meeting at Wisma Pertanian today.
In a Facebook post on his page on Thursday evening, he said Tambunan had been selected as the host for the festival's official opening.
It was understood that this year’s Kaamatan theme is "Kaamatan for Everyone."
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will once again be invited to officiate the festival’s closing ceremony.
