SHAH ALAM, May 21 — The Selangor government will continue its efforts to expand inclusive employment opportunities through the Jelajah Jobcare Selangor programme, with the next edition to take place on Saturday (May 24) at Dewan Serbaguna MBPJ SS3.
State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu said the event, organised by his office in collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (Socso), will feature 29 employers offering over 4,260 job vacancies across various sectors.
A key feature of the upcoming event is the proactive inclusion of opportunities for disabled persons, reflecting Selangor’s commitment to equitable and diverse employment.

“As part of efforts to strengthen the inclusive employment agenda in Selangor, several employers participating in the Jobcare programme will offer job opportunities to disabled persons.
“This move not only reflects the private sector’s awareness of diverse workforce needs, but is also in line with the Selangor government’s policy of ensuring that no group is left behind in the state’s economic development,” he said in a statement today.
Among the companies stepping up are KyoChon Sdn Bhd, 99 Speedmart Sdn Bhd, and Nando’s Malaysia, with jobs tailored for individuals with hearing, speech and learning disabilities.
Job seekers at the Petaling edition of the programme can apply for roles with starting salaries above RM2,000, with 82 more vacancies also available outside Selangor.
Leading employers, including Parkson Corporation, Mydin Mohamed Holdings, Longi Malaysia, Infinity Logistics, and Carsome, are also offering high-volume and high-paying opportunities.
At the Gombak leg of the Jelajah Jobcare fair last month, 259 of 531 attendees successfully secured job placements, which the state hopes to repeat across other districts.
Following this weekend’s edition, the Jelajah Jobcare will move on to Kuala Langat, Hulu Selangor, Hulu Langat, Klang, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam, and Sepang over the coming months.
