SABAK BERNAM, March 5 — The Selangor government will announce additional special financial aid (BKK) for civil servants and state assemblymen on March 19.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said this was decided during the state executive council meeting this morning.
“Among the highlights are that the state has set an additional rate for BKK 1.0 … we will announce it during … an engagement session for Ramadan with civil servants on March 19,” he said during an event at Makmuriah Mosque, Sungai Besar, here today.
At the event, Amirudin presented RM10,000 in aid from Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, to the mosque for Ramadan.
Earlier during a Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, he said the state government was considering increasing the BKK for civil servants and assemblymen this month.

Meanwhile, Amirudin today visited four asnaf households with zakat aid and food baskets, in conjunction with Ramadan, contributed by MBI and the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS).
He said visits to asnaf households will be continued via initiatives with state government leaders.
“As additional aid, we have presented MBI’s contribution of food baskets. PKPS also contributed food aid and zakat to each household.
“This will be our tradition, and for the next visit, I will ask all state executive councillors to visit a few houses each to meet the people,” he told Media Selangor.
Also on the visit were MBI chief Dato’ Saipolyazan M. Yusop and PKPS group chief executive officer Datuk Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi.
A recipient, Nor’ Aini Hazali, 63, said she was grateful that the Menteri Besar would visit her husband, Salim Chia Abdullah, who is bedridden after a stroke.
“These things and money can tide us through Ramadan and Aidilfitri.
“Thank you for your visit, this much is quite meaningful and significant for me and my family during this holy month,” said the mother of one.
