
RANAU: The State Government hopes to solve the Palauh (sea gypsies) stateless children problem by housing them in abandoned government quarters that have been repaired.
“The issue of Pelauh children who do not have documents has long gone viral where they live under the bridge in Kota Kinabalu to ask for alms during the day. Abidin (middle) and others at the ceremony
“This has become a big problem to road users and Kota Kinabalu City Hall because it disturbs public order,” said Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Abidin Madingkir.
Abidin, who is also Paginatan Assemblyman, said this while officiating a clothes donation at the Kg Lohan Ulu Star Party headquarters.
