THE Philippine Embassy in Beirut on Thursday advised Filipinos to avoid unnecessary travel and prepare at least three days of basic supplies amid Israel’s threat to intensify its attacks on Lebanon in the next two days.

There are about 14,000 Filipinos — mostly household workers — in Lebanon, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

In an advisory posted on Facebook, the embassy said, “Israeli authorities have announced intensified military operations over the next 48 hours.”

“Filipinos are advised to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures,” the embassy said. They should “shelter in place with employers and limit movement and avoid crowded areas.”

“All Filipinos are strongly urged to avail of the voluntary repatriation program while it remains available,” the embassy added.

It also urged Filipinos to “keep passports and important documents accessible and monitor legitimate news and embassy advisories.”

They should keep mobile phones and communication devices charged and prepare at least three days of basic supplies such as water, food, clothing and medicines.

The embassy said Lebanon continues to be under Alert Level 3 status “due to airstrikes and mass displacement across the country.”

Meanwhile, the embassy has informed the Filipino community that its Resident Election Registration Board will convene on April 20 to hear the applications for registration, certification, reactivation, correction of entries or change of name, change of address, transfer, recapture and other types of applications filed with the post from Dec. 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

“Any interested party who would like to interpose any objection to the list may file their opposition in writing addressed to the RERB of the Philippine Embassy in Beirut, Baabda, Mount Lebanon,” it said.
