
Kota Kinabalu: Police are looking for a man who stole two bottles of classy whiskies from a shop here at 88 Marketplace, Kepayan last Thursday.
CCTV footage caught the man dressed in a blue polo shirt stuffing the hard drinks down his jeans before making a hasty leave.
City police chief, ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said they were a Louis Chevallier XO and Larsen XO Reserve costing about RM1,146.
“The storekeeper only noticed that the two bottles had gone missing about 1pm.
“A police report was filed not long after they looked at the tapes.
“Members of the public with information are urged to report it at the nearest police station,” Zaidi said adding investigations are being carried out under Section 380 of the Penal Code.
He said the penalty, if convicted, is up to 10 years imprisonment with the possibility of a fine. – Jonathan Nicholas
