PUTRAJAYA: A total of 11,713 candidates who sat for the 2023 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination obtained excellent results with grades of A+, A and A- in all subjects, says education director-general Azman Adnan.

Announcing the results here today, he said the 2023 SPM candidates had better achievements than those in the previous year, recording a national average grade of 4.60 compared with 4.74.

A smaller national average grade value indicates better candidate achievement.

“226,358 of the 373,255 candidates who sat for the 2023 SPM obtained at least a pass in all the subjects they took, compared with 57.1% or 213,624 candidates in 2022.
