Criminal Record returns for a second season on Apple TV – starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo – for eight episodes. In this powerful, character-driven drama set in the heart of contemporary London, it explores the impossibility of policing when the truth is up for grabs. In this season, when a young man is stabbed to death at a political rally, rival police officers June Lenker and Daniel Hegarty are forced into an uneasy alliance, but what starts as a hunt for a murderer escalates, turning into an undercover operation to foil a far-right bomb plot right in the heart of London. The season is set to globally debut next Wednesday, followed by new episodes weekly until June 10, 2026.

Narrated by Josh Gad, Disneynature’s upcoming feature film Orangutan brings to the screens a new side of the lives of these primates – showcasing their playful personalities with exhilarating action, heartwarming encounters and a close-up of a stunning jungle teeming with wildlife. The movie introduces inquisitive adolescent orangutan Indah, who learns how to navigate life as she prepares to leave her family and venture out on her own for the very first time. Produced by Studio Dragon, the show follows In-a (Shin Hae-sun) and Ki-jun (Gong Myoung) as they navigate through workplace politics, a secret past and revenge – all while falling in love. The series is set to be available for streaming next Saturday on HBO Max.

Widow’s Bay

Starring and produced by Emmy Award-winner Matthew Rhys and hailing from creator Katie Dippold, this series blends together genuine horror with character-driven comedy. Widow’s Bay is a quaint island town 40 miles off the coast of New England, but something lurks beneath the surface. Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys) is desperate to revive his struggling community and at the same time, must contend with superstitious locals who believe their island is cursed. Struggling with his soft and cowardly nature, Loftis becomes determined to build a better future for his teenage son and turn the island into a tourist destination. Miraculously, he succeeds, but unfortunately, the locals were right, and after decades of calm, the old stories that seemed too ludicrous to be true start happening once again. The series is set for 10 episodes on Apple TV, with three episodes being streamed on its global debut on April 29, followed by new episodes every Wednesday until June 17, 2026.

Gold Land

In this streaming series debut of famed Old Boy screenwriter Hwang Joyoon, the show follows a young woman from a sleepy backwater town named Kim Heeju (Park Boyoung), whose life takes a positive turn after she begins dating a successful pilot. Finally escaping her past and managing to hold down a reputable job at a nearby airport, things seem to be going well for Heeju until her boyfriend calls her, pleading for help. Within days Heeju finds herself on the run with a tonne of gold bars, hurtling towards the one place she swore she would never return. The series will premier on Disney+ from April 29, debuting with two episodes and streaming two new episodes every Wednesday until the season finale on May 27, 2026.
