THE Strategic Asia Marketing Alliance (SAMA) launched its Philippine chapter on Tuesday, giving homegrown and mid-size Filipino brands a regional path to expand in Southeast Asia.
"The metaphor holds in practice: SAMA's member agencies are independent, chosen for their depth in their respective markets rather than being absorbed into a single structure. The alliance makes them accessible through one entry point," the organization said in a statement.
SAMA Philippines Country President Enya Reyes said the launch was timely as Filipino brands looked outward, while Management Association of the Philippines President Donald Lim said MSMEs deserved to be recognized in Southeast Asia.
"Too many businesses still believe that international expansion is reserved for multinational corporations, and I don't believe that anymore. Today, even small and medium enterprises have opportunities that never existed before," Lim said.
SAMA is a network of independent marketing agencies across Southeast Asia.
It helps brands and businesses expand regionally by connecting them with local marketing experts in countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Supporting the SAMA Philippine chapter is a group of founding member agencies in the Philippines, each contributing distinct expertise across the marketing industry.
