Strategic cooperation vital for Sabah’s education delivery

Chief Minister Hajiji Noor emphasises strategic state-federal collaboration as key to implementing effective education policies and developing quality human capital in Sabah.

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has underscored the critical importance of strategic and continuous cooperation between the state government and the Sabah Education Department for the effective and comprehensive implementation of education policies.

Hajiji stated that this close relationship is fundamental to advancing the future excellence of Sabah’s children, during a courtesy call from a department delegation led by director Datuk Raisin Saidin at his office in Menara Kinabalu.

“This collaboration is crucial in strengthening the state’s education sector and producing quality, competitive human capital,” he said in a statement.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector under his administration, with a focus on improving learning quality, enhancing school management, and ensuring students’ holistic development.

During the meeting, Raisin briefed the Chief Minister on the department’s key programmes for this year and its plans for the coming year.

The briefing also included an encouraging update on Sabah students’ performance in the recent Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination.

Also present at the meeting were District Education Office (PPD) deputy directors Indang Kasi Sibin (Planning and Management), Krishna KS @ Mohd Fadzli Abd Rozan (School Management), and Muddin Beting (Student Development), alongside senior assistant director Salleh Linggam.
