Tuaran: Cooperation between Parti Bersatu Sabah’s (PBS) top leadership and the grassroots members must be emphasised in order to strengthen the party’s position and remain relevant in Sabah, said PBS Deputy President Datuk Jahid Jahim.
“Our task is to approach the grassroots to ensure cooperation between the top leaders and members starting from the division levels, so that the branches can be strengthened.
“By this approach, the people will not only have the opportunity to meet the leaders, but they can see and evaluate for themselves their efforts and transparency in serving and ensuring the people’s wellbeing,” he said during the PBS Pandai Dalit Division Annual General Meeting in Tamparuli, here.
Also present were Rural Development Ministry Political Secretary Jilias Lintar, PBS Pintasan Head Muji Ampau, PBS Sulaman Head Juin Saman, PBS Tamparuli Deputy Head Madin Anak and PBS Pantai Dali Deputy Head Romeo Sindeh.

“The election has passed. It is time for us to reflect on ourselves, continue to serve the people and focus and carry out our responsibilities as leaders.
“I hope all the delegates present can instil a sense of confidence within even though it is still new. PBS Pantai Dalit has a role and a potential big enough to be highlighted for the strength of the party in the future. Don’t let PBS Pantai Dalit fall behind, keep moving and take a role in the party,” he said.
He also called on all those present to contribute ideas or methods to play a more critical role as administrators, government officials or as members in order to improve PBS at the divisional and grassroots level in the future.
Earlier, Romeo hoped that PBS Pantai Dalit would be given attention by Pantai Dalit Assemblyman Datuk Jasnih Dayah and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
“Hopefully we, who are strong GRS supporters in this area, will also be looked at by these two leaders for the sake of continuity of the leadership of PBS and GRS here,” he said.
