- Shirley Ballas has confirmed she is 100 per cent not leaving Strictly Come Dancing despite taking on a guest judging role on its US counterpart, Dancing with the Stars.
- The British judge described appearing on the American competition as a dream job and stated she will be performing double duty across both shows this year.
- During her debut on the US series, Ballas made an immediate mark with strict scoring, including giving out low marks as well as awarding the season's first score of 10 to actor Harry Shum Jr.
- She showed no favouritism towards her son, Mark Ballas, a professional on the US show, awarding his contemporary routine a seven while fellow judges gave eights and nines.
- Ballas follows in the footsteps of former Strictly judges Bruno Tonioli and the late Len Goodman, who both previously commuted between the UK and US versions of the format.
