A routine honouring the women whose lives were upended by the Second World War will form part of Strictly Come Dancing’s Remembrance Sunday broadcast.
The BBC dance competition returns with its live show on Saturday as the remaining couples take to the floor once again.
With the results show falling on Remembrance Sunday on November 8, the programme will mark the occasion with a themed dance inspired by the monument to the women of World War Two.
Set to “Heroes” by Peter Gabriel, the performance will transport viewers to the 1940s using a period set and vintage attire, featuring male dancers dressed as soldiers while female dancers showcase pre-war style and practical workforce garments.

Choreographed by Lizzie Gough, the dance opens as British soldiers leave for war before focusing on women’s lives during the conflict.
The line-up for Saturday’s main show has been revealed, with former Love Island winner Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin set to perform an American smooth to It Had to Be You by Harry Connick Jr.
Australian singer Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington will cha-cha to “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez, while EastEnders actor Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola perform a rumba to “Yellow” by Coldplay.
Olympian Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita will paso doble to “Supermassive Black Hole” by Muse, and dog trainer Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley dance a couple’s choice to “The Book Of Love” by Peter Gabriel.
Love Island’s Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby will waltz to “That Ain’t You” by Mulaa Joans, while House Of The Dragon actor Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu perform a foxtrot to “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis.

Social media creator John Nellis and Katya Jones will perform a salsa to “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk featuring Pharrell and Nile Rodgers.
Finishing the line-up, Big Brother host Will Best and Dianne Buswell will dance a quickstep to “This Love” by Maroon 5.
Sunday’s show also features music from US singer-songwriter Gregory Porter, alongside a professional routine, before two couples enter the dance-off, with one eliminated.
It was confirmed this week that actor Jaime Winstone is injured and received a bye to next week, when she hopes to return with Carlos Gu.
Strictly’s live show airs Saturday at 6:40pm, with the results show on Sunday at 7:10pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
