Janette Manrara has spoken about the "heartache" of missing out on the Strictly Come Dancing presenter job, describing it as the "biggest rejection of her career".
The 42-year-old was a professional dancer on the BBC show before becoming the co-host of It Takes Two alongside former contestant Fleur East.
Manrara and East were later axed from the companion show, with Ellie Taylor replacing them.
Speaking to Jamie Laing on the Great Company podcast, Manrara said she felt like a frontrunner to replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on the main show. She added she had spoken with East and Zoe Ball about the "grief" they all felt at missing out on the job.
