A Strictly Come Dancing star has revealed that her son severed his finger in a freak accident whilst playing with friends.
Erin Boag, one of the BBC show’s original professional dancers, told her followers on Thursday (5 March) that she had to rush her 11-year-old son Ewan to A&E after he accidentally trapped his finger in a door.
“You know flesh, bone, fingernail the whole lot,” she gruesomely explained.
She said that after being referred to a specialist unit, Ewan underwent a plastic surgery operation which saw his finger reattached. The 11-year-old is now recovering at home and the dancer thanked hospital staff for their assistance in “saving my son’s finger”.
