  • She had what her family described as a negative experience with NHS care at University Hospital Lewisham, and has claimed nurses were “bullying” patients on “noisy” wards.
  • She is now undergoing intensive rehabilitation after her family drove her 1,000 miles to a Hungarian hospital.
  • Ms Chithrakala is showing positive progress in regaining mobility and speech.
  • Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust has encouraged her family to be in direct contact so it can open a formal investigation into her concerns.
