- Warnings are in place for Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the north of England throughout Saturday and Sunday.
- A “rapidly deepening area of low pressure” is expected to bring peak gusts of 50-60 mph widely, with 60-70 mph in more exposed areas.
- Parts of Scotland, particularly the west, could experience very strong winds of 80-90 mph in exposed locations for a time.
- The strong winds may cause damage, travel disruption, and a slight chance of power cuts and impact on mobile phone coverage.
