KENINGAU: A 44-year-old man died and a 22-year-old student was injured in a two-vehicle collision at Batu 18 Kabulu, Sook-Keningau Road, around 6 am on Tuesday.

Keningau District Police Chief, Superintendent Yampil Anak Garai, confirmed the incident, stating the Proton Iswara driver died at the scene. The injured driver, a student from a local college, was treated at Keningau Hospital.

"Initial investigations revealed the Iswara was heading from Sook to Keningau, while the Proton Saga was traveling in the opposite direction.

"The student lost control of his vehicle on a bend, crossing into the Iswara’s path, leading to the crash," he said.
