Students and faculty members of the CT Institute of Architecture and Planning (CTIAP) were honoured by the Global Sikhs at the Punjab Sewa Summit 2026 for their contribution to a rehabilitation housing project aimed at supporting flood-affected families across Punjab.

Organised by the Global Sikhs under the theme “Together We Served. Together We Rebuild. Together We Rise.”, the summit celebrated individuals, organisations, volunteers, donors and partners whose selfless service has positively impacted communities across the state. The event was attended by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

As a part of the rehabilitation initiative, CT Architecture students, along with faculty members, collaborated with the Global Sikhs to develop housing solutions for families affected by floods in Punjab. The project was coordinated by Ritesh, coordinator, CT Institute of Architecture and Planning (CTIAP), who worked closely with students throughout the initiative. Through their architectural expertise, innovative thinking and commitment to social responsibility, the team contributed towards designing housing solutions that support recovery and long-term resilience.

The initiative was led by the Global Sikhs under the leadership of its founder, Amarpreet Singh. Expressing her appreciation, Dr Shruti H Kapur, Principal, CT Institute of Architecture and Planning (CTIAP), said, “This recognition reflects the commitment, creativity and compassion demonstrated by our students and faculty. We are proud to see our students applying their architectural knowledge to address real-world challenges and contribute meaningfully to society.”

Congratulating the team, Dr Jayashish Sethi, director campus, said, “The recognition received at the Punjab Sewa Summit is a matter of immense pride. It highlights the dedication of our students, faculty members and project coordinator Ritesh.”
