Roberto Mancini has resigned as Italy coach.
FIGC announced Mancini's resignation today - with his replacement due this week.
Sportmediaset says the former Manchester City and Inter Milan coach only made the decision last night and chose to inform FIGC this morning.
The decision is a shock for Italian football, with Mancini having been expect to lead the Azzurri to Euro 2024.
Mancini had been Italy coach for five years and his FIGC contract was to run to 2026.
