The journalist branded "stupid" by Vinicius Jr has responded to the Real Madrid star.
Andres Garcia had Vini Jr asking him if he was "stupid" after querying if he would apologise to Valencia fans for his relegation taunts after being sent off on Sunday. The question infuriated the player who had experienced racist taunts during Real's defeat.
Garcia, writing for Superdeporte, responded, stating: I'm not stupid, Vincius. I'm just a journalist who asked you and to which you responded with an insult.
"The gesture gives you away. Like the one from 'a Segunda'. Like so many others. I am not stupid. Nor the fans of Valencia. Not even the majority of stadiums and first-class fans that have taken your registration for a long time. It doesn't strain.
"A good part of Spanish football and your own professional colleagues do not like you. But not for being black. They don't like you because you provoke, disrespect and belittle everything that isn't called Real Madrid. You laugh at them, like me. And from some referees that you applaud in the face. It is not worth putting racism on the shield. Don't cheat.
"In that team, although you and those around you may not believe it, we are all united. We all condemn racism. We all applaud the identification and punishment of those who insulted you because of your skin color. We all want these people, to call them somehow, out of Mestalla for life.
"Make no mistake, Vinicius. Don't mix. Don't take us for fools. Don't get smart."
