Sky Deutschland says Stuttgart are showing interest in Hutchinson - and negotiations are already well advanced.
An agreement is close - and the parties are expected to reach a solution before the start of the next season.
Hutchinson will again be loaned out by Chelsea.
Stuttgart finished second in the Bundesliga last season - meaning the club is back in the Champions League next season.
Hutchinson's contract with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2025.
