Former Barcelona and Liverpool star Luis Suarez has sung the praises of Uruguay teammate Federico Valverde.
Liverpool are being linked with the Real Madrid midfielder.
Nacional striker Suarez told Marca: "Honestly, and it is in the archives, already in 2017 when Fede debuted in the national team, I said even then that he reminded me of Steven Gerrard.
"He has similar characteristics. A box-to-box player, with power, who can change the rhythm.
"I don't want to compare, but the characteristics are similar."
