KENINGAU: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Keningau branch seized 4,000 litres of subsidised diesel oil, estimated to be worth RM65,750, in a raid at Mile 27 of Jalan Tenom-Keningau.
KPDNHEP Keningau Chief Awang Azri Biahi said during the 1.36pm raid, enforcement officers found a quantity of subsidised diesel fuel, suspected of being misappropriated, in barrels that were placed in a lorry.
“We believe the diesel is to be sold to the industry here,” he said, adding the raid was carried out following information from the public.
The case will be investigated under the Supply Control Act 1961 and the Supply Control Regulations.
