- Two white-tailed eagle chicks near Loch Sunart in the Highlands have successfully fledged after local access was temporarily restricted to protect their nest.
- Forestry and Land Scotland closed a nearby car park and footpaths to Àrd-Àirigh to minimise disturbance to the birds during the breeding season.
- The juvenile birds are currently building their strength near the nest, meaning access restrictions will remain in place until they range further away.
- Visitors wishing to observe the birds without causing disruption have been advised to use the Garbh Eilean hide.
- Separately, a white-tailed eagle nicknamed Kinky, who survived a broken wing following a nest fall as a chick in 2023, was recently spotted flying over Mull.
