The key takeaways for me attending the D-8 Technology Incubator Program Business Meeting with D-8 Technology TT and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN), Iran held at Impiana KLCC Hotel organised by Al-Hidayah Group (AHG) Creative Economic & Financial Centre (CEFC) that TT can provide numerous economic benefits to the countries, organisations, communities and employees. In this case of the D-8 organisation, the economic cooperation consists of Malaysia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
According to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) that “TT is the movement of data, designs, inventions, materials, software, technical knowledge from one organisation to another or from one purpose to another. TT process is guided by the policies, procedures and values of each country and organisation involved in the process.”
The significant dynamism and fast paced growth in innovation & productive technology organisations of D-8 member countries can create new opportunities in multilateral trade relations. For example, Pardis Technology Park in Tehran established in 2005 has more than 450 technology and knowledge-based companies in the fields of advanced advanced technologies in ICT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, new materials, mechanical engineering & automation, located at “Innovation District” next to University of Pardis. President D-8 TTEN, Dr. Milad Sadrkhanlou, said “We are happy to collaborate and to showcase our capabilities in the technology which is developed in Iran. We can participate in phase 2 of TT innovation in Malaysia which is commercialisation. The objective is to improve D-8 positions in the world economy, diversify technology at the international level.”
From the Global Sejahtera perspectives, I agree with Dr. Milad that all the fast technological innovations are leading to a single point: the creation of a planetary civilisation. This transition is perhaps the greatest in human history. In fact, the people living today are the most important ever to walk the surface of the planet to attain the future of humanity.
