LABUAN: Member of Parliament Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman’s decision to support the Prime Minister was based on reality and a right one which Labuan will eventually benefit, says the Labuan Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
Its Chairman Datuk Wong Kii Yii said it is important for any constituency to have a pro- government MP to enjoy wider benefits.
“As such, Suhaili’s decision will result in more attention and much-needed funds to move Labuan forward and get rid of its gloom,” he said.
Suhaili has served as Labuan MP for two terms (2004 and 2009), after which he exited from the local political scene. He had also served as the Chairman of Labuan Corporation.
