Transport Minister Anthony Loke has declared Sultan Ismail Petra Airport the nation’s most modern and beautiful domestic airport following a major upgrade.
KOTA BHARU: Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (LTSIP) has been officially recognised as Malaysia’s most modern and beautiful domestic airport.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke made the declaration at the opening ceremony for the airport’s new terminal.
He stated the airport earned this status because its first-phase upgrade is the newest completed government project.
This sets it apart from other domestic airports still undergoing renovations.
“Certainly, we hope this airport can be fully utilised to attract more tourists to Kelantan,” Loke said. He added that the collaboration should continue to benefit both the people and the country.
Loke also extended his gratitude to all parties involved in the successful project delivery.
He thanked Ministry of Transport staff, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, the Kelantan state government, and the contractors.
