Kota Kinabalu: There is a need for the Government to act more aggressively in putting an end to the Philippines/Sulu claim over Sabah, said veteran politician Tan Sri Pandikar Amin.
The former Parliament Speaker said the authorities and leaders of the country have not been doing enough to put an end to the saga, which, he said, should have been pursued proactively since the country gained its independence.
He suggested that a summit be held between Malaysia and the Philippines to revise the terms in the Manila Accord 1963 which allows the Philippines to continue making its claims over Sabah.
