As the summer months approach, many Filipinos are planning trips, outdoor activities and new hobbies — often prompting a search for seasonal essentials ranging from sportswear to travel gear.
In time for the season, Robinsons Department Store is holding its "Payday Sale" from today until March 15, offering discounts on selected brands and items. The three-day promotion includes up to ₱1,000 off on selected "Favorite Brands."
Among the activities often associated with the season is pickleball, a sport that has gained popularity in recent years. Sportswear and footwear for outdoor activities are among the items available during the sale.
Picnics at parks are another option during the summer. Kitchen and dining items, as well as sun protection products such as sunscreen, are also among the products highlighted during the promotion.
Travel remains a common activity during the season, with destinations such as Batangas, Zambales and Bantayan Island often visited alongside established tourist sites like Boracay and Palawan. Travel-related items including luggage and swimwear are included in the sale offerings.
Some shoppers may also spend the season pursuing hobbies. Activities such as watercolor painting, baking and ceramics are cited as examples of quieter pastimes that can be done with friends or family.
During the sale period, Robinsons Department Store said shoppers who make a minimum single-receipt purchase of ₱5,000 will receive ₱300 off. Go Rewards members can also receive an additional 50 points during the "Golden Hour" flash deal scheduled from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Additional promotions include up to ₱400 cashback for transactions made using RCBC credit cards and up to ₱1,500 in e-gift certificates for purchases made with Security Bank credit cards. The top 10 spenders during the promotion will also receive free gifts.
