If you’ve ever had a Singaporean friend swear by their “Cloud Series” shoes, this is your sign, you don’t need to cross the Causeway anymore. Sunday Staples, one of Singapore’s fastest-growing footwear brands, just opened their first Malaysian store at Pavilion Bukit Jalil and honestly, we get the hype.

The brand started as founder Cherriann Wong’s home project, and five years later they’ve sold over 200,000 pairs and set up four stores in Singapore. Their secret? Shoes that actually get what women want, style that looks good on the ‘gram but feels like walking on pillows IRL.

Their Cloud Series is basically the Taylor Swift of footwear collabs: universally loved, versatile, and guaranteed to sell out. The padding is soft, bouncy, and somehow still sleek, not chunky “dad sneakers” territory. Plus, the colour palette is very neutral-core, meaning they’ll go with your office fits and your café-hopping weekend looks.

What really sets Sunday Staples apart is how they design for Asian feet (finally, someone gets it).

Think: added heel padding in ballet flats, Flyknit uppers, low and block heels that don’t punish you halfway through the day.

Bonus points: they use vegan Microfibre Leather (tougher than it sounds) and new Waterproof Linen, Satin, and Suede so you don’t have to panic every time the KL weather mood-swings.

As Cherri herself put it, “We’re not just opening a store, we’re bringing a solution to Malaysian women who are tired of choosing between comfort and style.” Honestly, facts.
