Sunderland and Scotland striker Ross Stewart is emerging as a key target for Rangers.

The Scottish giants are hoping to nab the hot shot forward from the newly promoted Championship club.

According to the Daily Record, Sunderland are hoping to offer Stewart a significant pay rise to tempt him to stay.

The 25-year-old netted 26 goals to help the Black Cats to promotion from League One to the Championship last season.

There are also clubs in the Premier League and Championship who want to sign Stewart.

Rangers are eyeing the forward as a possible replacement for wantaway star Alfredo Morelos.
