A small river along Jalan Sellathevan, Klang has come under investigation recently as it was discovered that the river had turned unnaturally blue, suspecting that foul play may have been involved.

Yesterday, an industrial area in Jalan Omboh has been suspected of causing Sungai Kandis to turn blue after having thrown away paint into the river. The incident was detected at 12:30 in the afternoon and was reported to the Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS) who rushed to the scene as soon as possible.

"Further inspection found that the water puddles in the area were blue and the flow entered a nearby drain which then flowed into Sungai Kandis."

"LUAS conducts water quality sampling and the sample is sent to the Jabatan Kimia Malaysia (JKM) for further analysis for enforcement action," they stated in a Facebook post
