Sunset By NEON Chapter Two drew over 14,000 festivalgoers to Genting Highlands, with international DJs, immersive production and a surprise finale.

GENTING HIGHLANDS: More than 14,000 electronic music fans gathered at Genting Highlands over two days for Sunset By NEON Chapter Two, which featured international DJs, immersive production and a surprise announcement at the close of the festival.

Held on Sept 26 and 27, the second edition brought together a line-up of electronic music acts including MORTEN, Enrico Sangiuliano, SLVR, Rivo, Yotto and Agents Of Time.

Day One saw MORTEN deliver a high-energy performance featuring unreleased material, including “London”, his collaboration with David Guetta and Tinie Tempah, alongside tracks such as “Gimme Dat”.

Sangiuliano then took the festival into darker and more hypnotic territory, closing the first day with a driving techno set.

Day Two opened with SLVR before Rivo took over with tracks including his rendition of Disclosure’s “You & Me”, his rework of ARTBAT and SIX40TWO’s “Take You There” and RÜFÜS DU SOL’s “On My Knees”.

Yotto followed with his signature melodic and hypnotic sound, performing tracks including “Rhythm of the Night”, “Love Parade” and “Somebody To Love”.

Agents Of Time brought the festival to a close with an extended three-hour set featuring a mix of classics, new releases and unreleased material, including “RAJADA”, “You + Me” and their rework of The Prodigy’s “Breathe”.

Beyond the music, the festival grounds were transformed with iridescent blue lighting and flora- and fauna-inspired visuals, complementing the cool surroundings of Genting Highlands.

The event also featured one of its largest stage constructions to date, with three rows of VIP and VVIP viewing areas surrounded by large stone-like structures that created an otherworldly atmosphere.

The mountain setting was incorporated into the festival experience, offering an environment distinct from conventional city-based music festivals.

Official title sponsor and official automotive partner OMODA & JAECOO also showcased its automotive and lifestyle offerings, giving festivalgoers an opportunity to view the OMODA C7 and explore its design and technology.

The weekend ended with a surprise announcement by NEON Projects, which unveiled ANYMA Presents ÆDEN in Bangkok on Dec 5.

The announcement marked the first time the new ÆDEN experience will be brought to the region, giving festivalgoers a preview of NEON Projects’ next venture.
