Being an Anak Malaysia means my family & I are free to travel around the world except a few countries not recognized by the Government of Malaysia. I am proud that as of 2026, Malaysian citizens have visa-free or visa on arrival access to 183 countries and territories, ranking the Malaysian passport 6th in the world according the Henley Passport Index, 3rd in the world according to Global Passport Power Rank, making it the 2nd highest-ranked passport in Southeast Asia after Singapore & the 2nd highest ranked passport among the Muslim-majority countries just behind the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
I was fortunate to study overseas and worked with Australian and Japanese MNCs & GLCs: PETRONAS and Malaysia Airlines serving the international networks. As such, I have the opportunities to attend meetings or conferences and facilitated training programs overseas. Concurrently, during my annual leave, I would arrange for family vacation, especially visiting the best Disneyland or “castle parks” around the world - in California, Florida, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai & Hong Kong. We found Disney Parks is one of the world's leading providers of family travel and leisure experiences. (disneyexperiences.com)

On the eve of our 69th National Day celebrations, my family & grandkids: Iffah, Ilyan, Daniel, Fayyadh and Ilyan revisited Sunway Lagoon Malaysia. We experienced Disneyland & Sunway Lagoon are both large-scale, multi-themed entertainment destinations spanning roughly 85-88 acres that offer diverse family attractions divided into zones. Disneyland features lands like Fantasyland & Frontierland, while Sunway Lagoon features distinct zones including a water park, amusement park & wildlife park. Both designed their parks for visitors of all ages mixing high-adrenaline thrill with family-friendly activities.

I like Sunway Lagoon eco-driven green infrastructure which tied directly to sustainability goals. It has fully integrated green operations, including recycling cooking oil into commercial biodiesel, establishing a vertical garden layout & converting industrial chemical barrels into park-wide waste-separation hubs.
