‘Superman’ arrested for breaking into boat in Florida

Arrest footage shows the moment a felon wearing a Superman costume was apprehended for breaking into a boat in Florida.

On Saturday (25 July), Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received a report from a man who said that somebody had broken into the cabin of his vessel, which was anchored behind his home in Ruskin, Florida. The caller said that multiple power tools had been stolen.

Bodycam footage released by the force shows officers approaching and questioning James Tidwell, 57, who was wearing the iconic superhero’s suit.

Tidwell, a convicted felon, admitted to entering the boat and told officers that he “only took three items”.

He was taken into custody for charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and first-degree petit theft.
