SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) supports the existing unity government and has not made any further announcements regarding its coalition partner in the coming Sabah State Election (PRN17).
Its Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said the usual discussions exist “but the most important thing is that we support the unity government and at the same time we lead the Sabah BN.”
As for calls for “Sabahans-only leadership”, he said it would be answered when the time comes but for now as the unity government is there and working in full harmony.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also Deputy Prime Minister 1, said this at a press conference at the closing of the Sabah BN assembly and the Sabah BN Convention in conjunction with BN’s 50th Golden Jubilee Celebration, here, Sunday.
