The Supreme Court will pronounce the judgment on Wednesday on the petitions challenging the validity of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls done by the Election Commission.
A Bench of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi will pronounce the judgment.
The top court will decide if the EC has the powers under Article 326 of the Constitution, the Representation of the People Act and the Rules made thereunder to carry out the SIR exercise in the present form.
