A comprehensive survey of the historical and archaeological heritage of Mandi town was formally launched from the Triloknath Temple complex under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Sardar Patel University (SPU), Mandi, and Jiwaji University, Gwalior. The initiative was inaugurated by SPU Vice-Chancellor Prof Lalit Kumar Awasthi.

Addressing the gathering, Prof Awasthi underscored the importance of the scientific study, preservation and documentation of history for future generations.

The team visited several prominent heritage sites, including Triloknath Temple, Panchvaktra Mahadev Temple, Bhootnath Temple, Ardhanarishwar Temple, the Raj Mahal complex and traditional water management structures. The researchers also examined a rare coin collection preserved by historian Dr Kamal Pyasa. Several scholars, students and heritage enthusiasts participated in the survey.
