German football fans appear not too keen to stay up late or get up early to watch matches from the upcoming World Cup, according to a survey.
A YouGov survey commissioned by delivery service Wolt revealed that 25% are very unlikely and 16% unlikely to watch matches in the German night.
But 37% are meanwhile interested in principle to watch matches taking place at unfamiliar hours.
The June 11-July 19 World Cup is played in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The time difference means that many matches start at 10pm (2000 GMT) or later. There is a number of midnight kick-offs as well as matches at 3am and even 6am.
The German team's group games are at 7pm against Curaçao and at 10pm against Ivory Coast and Ecuador.
The survey revealed that 63% most enjoy watching matches on TV together with family and friends, while 44% prefer to watch on their own in order to concentrate on the game.
The poll was conducted April 8-10 among 2,096 Germans who are interested in football, from the occasional watcher of matches to diehard fans.
