
KOTA KINABALU: A local man who used a cash-on-delivery method to sell drugs around the city and Penampang was arrested during a police raid on Tuesday night, Info X reported.
The 40-year-old suspect was detained by state narcotics police at the lobby of a premises in Bundusan, Penampang, at about 8.55pm.
Police said they found four packets of powder believed to be ecstasy weighing 122.3 grams, 13 pink pills suspected to be ecstasy weighing 4.8 grams, cash amounting to RM6,400 and a Toyota Hilux.
A follow-up raid at the suspect’s home in Taman Nelly, Kolombong, uncovered 1,223.7 grams of powder suspected to be ecstasy, 53.2 grams of ketamine, foreign currency, jewellery and nearly 100 empty plastic packets.
Sabah Narcotics Chief ACP Alhusin Halil said the drugs seized were worth about RM54,840, and the suspect, who admitted to distributing ecstasy and ketamine since early this year, has been remanded under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
