
TAWAU: A 44-year-old local was arrested for allegedly scratching his neighbour’s car and threatening him with a knife in Taman Ria 3 last Friday.
Acting Tawau District Police Chief Supt Champin Piuh said the victim lodged a police report.
Champin said the victim confronted the suspect, who then reacted aggressively by brandishing a knife, causing the victim to fear for his safety.

“The suspect lives next door to the complainant. During the raid, we also seized a knife believed to have been used in the incident,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 427 for mischief causing property damage.
Background checks revealed the suspect has two prior records under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and the Special Preventive Measures Act 1985 (Act 316).
