Swiss police are considering the stabbing of three men at a train station in Winterthur on Thursday as an act of terrorism, after it was revealed that the 31-year-old suspect had previously disseminated propaganda for the terrorist organization Islamic State.
One victim is facing life-threatening injuries and all three, ages 28, 43 and 52, were taken to hospital, the police said. They added that a bladed weapon was used in the attack in Winterthur, some 24 kilometres north-east of Zurich, and the suspect is from there.
He was arrested within five minutes of the first reports of the attack. It was unclear which of the three victims received the life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 am (0630 GMT).
