BEAUFORT: Police arrested a 35-year-old local after 20 packets containing what is believed to be syabu were found in his crashed car at Jalan Beaufort-Padas Damit, near here, Wednesday.
District Police Chief DSP Ismail Abdullah said the suspect’s
Proton Iriz landed in a ditch on the right side of the road after being involved in an accident.
He said the suspect was on the shoulder of the road.
“Upon inspection, police found a sling bag containing 20 transparent plastic packets with clear crystalline substances weighing 5.08gm,” he said.
Ismail said the suspect’s urine tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.
