
PENAMPANG: Police arrested two suspects for possession of about 0.15gm of syabu at a roadblock in Kg Tanaki along the old Papar Road, here, on Friday.
Penampang District Police Chief Supt Sammy Newton said the two, aged 38 and 39, were arrested during a routine traffic operation under “Ops Utama”.
He said the duo were arrested after they acted aggressively and attempted to run away.
“We found the packets, suspected to be syabu, in the pants pockets of the two suspects,” he said, adding police also recovered the equipment used to smoke drugs.

The case is being investigated under Sections 15(1)(a) and 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
