When people heard that Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah are getting engaged, many felt genuinely happy, but more than happiness, people felt touched because this isn't just about love; it's about healing.

Bella's past wasn't easy. She went through a painful marriage filled with betrayal. Not once, but many times. The kind of pain that breaks your trust, your confidence, and even your sense of self. She tried to stay and fix things, and for that, people judged her. When she finally chose to leave, people judged her again. That's the sad reality.

In today's world, some people still use hurtful words to describe divorced women. Words like “second-hand”, “used”, or even “buy one get 2 free.” (Source: Rasyidah 拉丝达) It may sound like a joke to them, but it's actually very disrespectful.

Divorce is not a failure. Single mothers are not a burden, and someone else's pain is not something to laugh at.

Do we really know what she went through? Do we understand how much courage it takes to walk away and start again? Most of the time, we don't. We only see the surface, but we speak as if we know everything.

That's why Bella's story matters. After everything she went through, she didn't give up on life. She stood up again. She worked hard. She focused on herself and her children. Step by step, she rebuilt her life, and then she found love again.

Syed Shaddiq didn't just accept her but also respected her. He respected her past, her responsibilities, and everything that came with loving her. That's what makes people emotional. Because in a world where women are often judged for their past, here is a man who chooses her fully. Still, some people continue to make insensitive comments. They reduce her story to jokes and labels, but a woman's value is not defined by her past. Her strength, her courage, and her growth deserve respect. Everyone deserves a second chance at happiness. Whether it’s their first or second marriage, it doesn’t matter. What matters is finding someone who truly cares.

If you can’t give your blessing, at least give respect.

If you can’t be kind, at least don’t be hurtful.

At the end of the day, every woman has her own story. She is not a label. She is not a joke. She is a human being who deserves love.

So yes, people are touched by this engagement. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real.

Wishing Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah a future filled with love, respect, and happiness because after everything, she truly deserves it.
