
KOTA KINABALU: Payments for recipients of the Syukur programme are currently being processed and will be disbursed soon, said State Community Leaders Development Unit (UPPM) Director Datuk Awang Kadin Tang on Monday.
A total of RM358.5 million has been allocated for the initiative, which will benefit 100,000 recipients and complement existing aid programmes to ease financial burdens.
AdvertisementPayments will be made in phases, with each disbursement covering three months, amounting to RM900 per recipient, beginning with the first phase in February and concluding in December.
As of February this year, 72,058 household heads registered under eKasih qualify automatically as of Dec 31, 2024, while the Sabah Maju Jaya Secretariat will review new applications and appeals.
