Brighton striker Neal Maupay will miss out on the club's Carabao Cup clash against Aston Villa this week.
The summer signing should be fit for their Premier League clash against Chelsea at the weekend.
But the game in midweek has come too early for him to feature.
Maupay is struggling with a knee injury.
Brighton coach Graham Potter said to reporters: "Neal [Maupay] had a cut on his knee, but he'll be okay for the weekend."
The 23-year-old has managed two goals in six Premier League appearances this season.
