Barcelona summer signing Pedri was turned down by Real Madrid last year, it has been revealed.
Currently on-loan with Las Palmas, the midfielder signed with Barca for 5m before being loaned back to his formative club.
However, AS says Pedri could easily be a Real player.
The teen had a week's trial with Real in February 2018, though due to heavy snow only was able to take part in two training sessions.
At the time, Pedri could've signed for nothing, but was passed over by Real and instead committed himself to Las Palmas.
The midfielder is now regarded as the best player for his age in Spain.
